TikTok:

  • 1.1 billion active users each month

  • The average time spent on TikTok is 52 minutes a day

  • Over 2.6 billion people downloaded TikTok

  • A user opens the TikTok app 8 times per day.

  • TikTok now has over 130 million active users in the U.S.

  • TikTok is the seventh-largest platform in terms of users, ahead of others that have been around much longer such as Snapchat, Pinterest, and Twitter.

  • The percentage of U.S.-based TikTok users by age: 10-19: 32.5% , 20-29: 29.5% , 30-39: 16.4% , 40-49: 13.9% , 50+: 7.1%. This means that the TikTok user base is aging up


Each platform is unique and can be profitable in its own way. So look at these numbers and think about which one fits you and your business.

From my experience:

  • Facebook is good for businesses and storefronts. This gets traffic to see what you offer. 

  • Instagram is great for online businesses and storefronts and can benefit as well for service providers. 

  • Pinterest is key for service-providing businesses and online businesses or bloggers. 

  • TikTok is great for all businesses. In a short amount of time, it has surpassed its competitors and has a new technique of marketing and with it being used in over 150 different countries, the audience is international
