Have you heard of the newest changes being implemented on Instagram?
Have you started stressing over what you need to do to stay on trend?
Well, the second half of 2021 is getting a social media makeover and below you’ll get your updates and tips!
We have new updates coming through the Instagram platform. Per the organization’s head of IG, Adam Mosseri, the company currently has its sights set on shifting from a square photo sharing app to a more video content platform, utilizing full-screen video’s and also suggesting topics on your feed. He stated that Instagram will focus more on organic growth. In his Instagram post, he stated “The number one reason that people say they use Instagram, in research, is to be entertained.”
Mosseri’s announcement comes with the accelerated changes we’ve seen within the past year and a half in the world and on all social media platforms, ie: TikTok, Youtube and Facebook. Shopping, entertainment, coaching and education have shifted rapidly onto the online space.
So how can you keep up with the ever rolling trend of social media?
Here are a few tips:
Create 20 second video clips with you in the picture.
If you do not like to be in front of the camera, create a video clip on Canva using pictures and words, download it as an MP4 video and post it on your IG platform.
Utilize Instagram live rooms, where you and three other people can go live together, which is amazing for building community, cross branding and building lifelong connections.
Don’t forget your hashtags. Post 8-15 hashtags
Some influencers, bloggers, creators, photographers and social media strategists, have voiced their concerns, forcing the creative shift from photo to video but as with everything, change is inevitable. We do not have to be pro’s immediately. We will evolve and show our new sides of creativity.
