Let's look at some basic design trends that are popular right now. As with anything in life trends come and go and you want to stay on top of those trends.
So, with your social media strategy those trends are just as important and I am sharing with you everything you need to know about designing content.
Do you get frustrated because the design trends change constantly?
In a world of social media you can expect that trends will constantly be changing. How in the world are you supposed to stay on top of the trends as things are always changing?
Well, something that I try to do is constantly take time to grow and develop my skills. So today I want to take time to talk about things I have learned about new design trends through Canva.
Flat lays:
These design features give that appeal of being more interactive and 3-dimensional but are truly a 2D design element that draws attention.
Bold\contrasting colors:
Pastels are a thing of the past when it comes to truly unique designs that stand out. Bold-contrasting colors are where you can truly draw in your potential customer.
Non-conformity:
This is where you can break all the design and layout rules. Go against the grain with the designs and create unique and stand out graphics. Create an imperfect design to make it even better than before.
Organic-feel elements:
New trends are also more organic in appeal. You will see logos moving more towards organic colors and softer designs. Clean, uncomplicated visuals are another great aspect of design.
Maximalist Designs:
The exact opposite of a minimalist design approach with an intentional clash of colors, concepts and styles so that you can create a completely new and distinctive visual design.
Collage:
Designs are moving to more of a deliberately messy, rough looking approach to visuals and is gaining ground as a new and fun trend. Layering designs over top of one another is a great way to add a tangible feel to a design.
Custom Illustrations:
Custom illustrations are rapidly becoming more popular in a social world where content is consumed minute-by-minute. This allows you to move away from stock photos and into more custom and unique designs.
So now you see the up and coming trends which one is something you are already using? Which one do you want to give a go?
Taking time to understand what is popular in the world of design and content is important if you want your business or clients’ pages to stay relevant in an ever changing world.
