Brand Colors & Palette Design
Do you need brand colors for your business?
This was something I myself was not really sure about when I started my business. The more I know and the more I am in the business I see that your brand colors, font and logo truly make you stand out among the crowd.
When I work with Pinterest brand colors are vital. So, yes you need to have a brand kit that fits you.
Are you trying to build a brand and business but don’t know which colors will best represent you?
This is something that I think many business owners struggle with as they start their business. I was one of those business owners, I wanted to have something that represented me and my business. I didn’t think a logo and brand colors were necessary but as I was working to build my Pinterest business page I knew I needed to have pin templates that were specific to my business.
So, I started researching to figure out what colors would work. Pinterest is a great place to search for brand palettes and you can see which ones will fit your business. Or better yet Canva has a variety of pre-made palette templates to choose from.
Now you have the place to start but you still don’t know what colors will compliment each other and work well together, so now what?
Research shows that up to 85% of consumers believe color is the biggest motivator for customers when choosing a product. Then you have 92% of consumers acknowledge that visual appearance is the most persuasive marketing factor overall.
These numbers are HUGE and mean big things for your business when it comes to colors and branding.
Let’s just start this blog with WHY brand colors are important then we will go down the other reasons you need brand colors and how to choose them.
I am not saying this to make it seem like colors are make it or break it for your business but there should be thought behind why you chose those colors.
Why did those colors stand out to you?
What did you feel when you saw these colors?
What did the colors "say" to you when you first saw them?
What do you want your target audience to feel when they see your colors?
These are all important questions you need to ask yourself as you determine your brand colors.
When you think about your colors, think about the expression- “First impressions count.” This is the same for the brand colors you pick. You want your customers to get a great first impression of your business when they see the colors you choose.
To say it even more simply, brand colors are powerful in helping customers decide whether or not they want to even engage with you or your business.
So, do you see the value in the colors you choose? It is important!
