Why is Pinterest Analytics so important?
When you are working on your business page on Pinterest do you look at the analytics? Many people do not want to get lost in the numbers or overwhelmed by them, but they should be looked at and understood so that you are promoting your business properly.
Do you even know what numbers matter or where to start?
You need to remember your goal and then you want to focus on what numbers help you reach that goal.
So step one is what is the goal of your Pinterest page and your business?
As a Pinterest strategist it is my goal to get traffic to your website. So when we focus on that we want to make sure that the outbound link clicks goes up. This shows that people are leaving Pinterest and directly landing on your website.
You want your pin titles, pin descriptions and hashtags to draw people in and then get them to click to your website. This strategy helps you get your pins on the top of the searches.
So let’s see what your goal is:
If your goal is to spread the word about your business, maybe impressions are important to you.
If your goal is traffic to your website then outbound clicks is your goal.
If your goal is to present your products or services in an on brand way, then pin saves and interaction is important.
Think through what your goal is and there you will be able to decide what analytics matter the most.
Do you need a Pinterest Strategy?
Sometimes you have your Pinterest set up and ready to use, but you don’t know how or what you should post. When I say that using a strategy for your Pinterest page can be a game changer, what are your thoughts?
Are you like: No way I just pin and post, or are you scratching your head thinking you had no idea there was even a strategy?
Many of you know that Pinterest is a great platform for many reasons. When using Pinterest for your business you want to focus on the areas that will boost your business. Using a strategy to create a business page flawlessly is going to make you stand out and support your business in a HUGE way.
Here are some basic starting steps to a strategy that will boost your page….
1. Is your website claimed? This is huge for analytics. This will show on your profile and show up as a legitimate website for your audience to see.
2. Does your bio clearly state who you are, what you are providing and is it full of keywords? You want people to land on your page and know exactly who you are and what services they will be getting.
3. Are your boards clean, consistent and uniformed? You don’t want too many boards and you want clean, easy to understand titles and board covers.
4. Are you using pin templates for your covers that are representing your brand? This is huge for making your pins stand out above the rest.
5. Do you post useful content to help your target audience, but also share content that promotes your business? This has to be balanced.
^ These are great starting places to ensure that you are going to get the traffic to your website and convert that traffic to sales.
