5 Marketing Strategies For Business
Whether you provide goods or a service, you aren't really marketing those things to potential customers. It's more accurate to say that you are marketing your business as a whole - or even marketing yourself as a business person. There are five great ways to approach marketing your business - especially online:
Passion/Vision - Many of your customers may have begun working with you or buying your product because they see that you have a passion for your work. As consumers, we are often drawn to businesses that treat us as individuals and make us feel that we matter. We also enjoy supporting an important cause, so if a small business owner shares his or her vision with us, we tend to support them to feel as though we had a part in helping them achieve their goals! Engage with your audience and share your passion!
Storytelling - Similar to passion, your audience will be drawn to stories about your business. Use examples from your business interactions to inspire your audience and tug on their heartstrings. If you are able to create a connection with them through personal stories, they may feel more loyalty toward you and your business.
Social Proof - You've probably heard that word of mouth is the best marketing, and that can certainly be true! Providing testimonials and reviews from current and past clients is a great way for potential customers to see your work. Additionally, creating a referral program for your business is an excellent way to promote your business - especially by asking for customers to tag and share your business on social media!
Behind the Scenes - Most people enjoy being "in the know," and a peek behind the scenes is a great way to peak interest in your business. Knowing that you are creating your products by hand or that you are personally answering their inquiries can help draw potential customers to support your efforts.
Problem/Solution - Some potential clients may not even realize that you can help solve a problem they have or make their life easier in some way. It's important to make it clear what problem(s) your product or service may solve for your customer.
Generally, a customer is likely to become loyal to a business they feel a connection will or that treats them well. Being transparent, helpful, and visible is a sure way to gain trust and loyalty from your clients. Implement one (or more!) of these tips for a few weeks and see if they work for you!
