3 Reasons Digital Marketing Isn't Working For You (And how to fix it!)
You heard that digital marketing is the best way to market your business, and you jumped right in! So why aren't you reaping the benefits?
Here are three reasons digital marketing may not be working for you and what you can do to turn it around:
1. Your content isn't being seen - you may have great content that isn't reaching your target audience. Try working on your keywords and hashtags by looking at Google Trends. This site by Google allows you to see what is trending and search terms within your niche to see if others are searching for them. For example, the word "budget" may trend lower than "finance" and maybe a better way to describe your good or service.
2. Your audience doesn't see the value of your product or service - is your content showing users the value of what you have to offer? If you're unsure, try asking yourself, "What problem am I solving with this product?" and use that to influence the content you post on social media. Instead of posting that you are a financial consultant, try telling your audience how you can help them with your service.
3. The process is complex - is it easy for your customers to order or purchase your product or service? Additionally, is information readily available to tell your customer exactly what they are purchasing and the cost? Customers must be sure of what they are getting before they commit to a purchase. Jumping through hoops to determine precisely what is included or how much it costs may deter some potential customers. Once they have decided to purchase, paying for and receiving their products should also be simple. As always, good customer service is also a must!
To state, it simply, put yourself in your customer's place. Would you find your product helpful and easy to purchase? Take time to look at your marketing through a customer's eyes or have a friend review it for you. This may help you see what changes might be needed.
